Slovak Medical University Admission & Entry Requirements

Admission criteria here is your score achieved at the university’s entrance exams and the strength of your application. They consist of 80 Biology and 80 Chemistry questions. The exam is held only in the Faculty of Medicine at the Slovak Medical University.

English-level proficiency is mandatory for an applicant to be allowed to study medicine in English.

Term Dates

The academic year starts in mid-September and is divided into 2 terms - winter and summer. 

The winter semester begins on the 16th of September, and the classes end on the 18th of December. The examination period is between the 4th of January and the 5th of February.

Classes for the summer semester are held from the 10th of February until the 21st of May. The examination period begins on the 24th of May and finishes on the 2nd of July.
