Nicolaus Copernicus University was established in 1945 as a public higher education institution. The university’s main campus is located in Torun, Poland, where the prominent scientist Nicolaus Copernicus was born. Naturally, the university is named after him. However, Collegium Medicum, where you will find medical faculty, is located in Bydgoszcz.

NCU Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz has several student organisations that may be of particular interest to internationals. The International Federation of Medical Students Association brings medical students together for various projects, trips, and events. To apply to this university, students need to take an entrance exam that consists of 50 multiple-choice questions (30 in Biology, 12 in Chemistry, and 8 in Physics). The university offers student housing. One of the most modern dormitories in the country is their Students House №3, for international students. The whole staff there is English-speaking. The building is close to university hospitals, teaching facilities, and the medical library. The location is not far from the city centre and is one of the most popular shopping malls.
This hostel offers 108 single rooms and 72 double rooms that are fully equipped. Each room has a private bathroom, and a fully-equipped kitchen is shared with every two rooms.

The city is notable for its abundance of green spaces, particularly the renowned Myslecinek Forest Park, situated just outside Bydgoszcz.
