MCE is a new and modern university that is franchised and regulated by the renowned Trakia University in Bulgaria. This means that medical education and diplomas are delivered by MediCampus Europeo in Malta and upon graduation, students obtain an internationally recognised degree that is awarded by Trakia University.
The Faculty of Medicine is located on a beautiful historic campus that features traditional architecture, advanced teaching technology, and a variety of modern amenities.
MediCampus Europeo offers a comprehensive 6-year medicine course in English that is designed to develop skilled and knowledgeable doctors who can succeed on a global scale. The programme is taught entirely in English and the curriculum combines thorough theoretical education, extensive hands-on experience and the development of crucial interpersonal skills.
MCE uses the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), which ensures a fair and transparent assessment system that enables easy student transfers. The MD programme at MediCampus Europeo is worth 360 ECTS points, which is the standard in Europe.
There are no graduate entry medicine options at MCE, but student transfers are accepted from the 2nd year onwards.
The tuition fees for the Medicine course at MCE are for EU students and for non-EU students, if they are paid in two instalments.
However, students get a discount if they pay the whole sum in just 1 instalment, and the tuition fee becomes for EU students and for non-EU students.
Additionally, MCE rewards dedicated and hard-working students, and each year, the top-ranked undergraduate students are awarded an academic excellence scholarship.
To apply to MCE, students need to have a high school diploma and pass an entrance examination that consists of 80 multiple-choice questions in Biology and Chemistry. Both sections give the same amount of points, and students are given 120 minutes to complete the test.
There are only 50 available spots for the MD programme in English at MediCampus Europeo.
Applying to a prestigious medical school abroad can be a stressful and challenging process, especially when the competition is intense due to a limited number of spots. You need to follow strict admission requirements and submit specific documents that need to be translated, legalised, and notarised. The worst part is that if you don’t follow the procedure correctly, your application will get rejected. However, there’s no need to worry because Medlink Students has one of the best admissions teams in Europe, and we can handle your application from start to finish. We have an in-depth understanding of the admission process at MediCampus Europeo, and we know how to make sure that your application stands out. On top of that, we will provide you with the perfect preparation material created precisely for the entrance exam at MCE. With Medlink Students by your side, you can forget the stress of applying on your own and focus on what’s truly important - preparing for the entrance tests.
MCE is accredited by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA), which is a full member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA).
This means that the MCE programme follows the strict standards set by the European Union (EU) and that students receive an internationally recognised degree and qualification.
Additionally, under the EU Directive on the Recognition of Professional Qualifications (2005/36/EC), the MCE medical degree is automatically recognised throughout the EU, and graduates are eligible to practise as doctors without additional examinations.
The academic year at MCE begins in October each year and is divided into 2 semesters - Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer.
MCE provides a fulfilling and exciting academic experience that blends traditional medical education with modern, hands-on training. The curriculum is designed to build a strong theoretical foundation, develop crucial clinical skills and teach critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation.
One of the stand-out features of studying medicine at MCE is that students begin their clinical training in the very 1st year. Additionally, the preclinical and clinical phases of the curriculum (from 3rd to 6th year) can be completed across several top European clinics and teaching hospitals.
