About East European University

East European University in Georgia (EEU) was established in 2012. It is located in the capital Tbilisi with a population of more than 1 million. The university offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in several areas of study, including English-taught MD programmes.

As a capital, Tbilisi is also the most populated city in the country. There are several factors in the city that attract many international visitors or future residents. Tourists come here to explore the secrets of ancient times, but the medical universities located here attract even more international students willing to study medicine in English.

Courses Offered at The East European University

EEU offers a Medicine course fully taught in English. The programme offers a high level of education at an affordable price. The campus has well-equipped facilities to ensure an excellent teaching experience for its students.

The curriculum consists of theoretical lectures and practical training. During your studies, you will acquire deep knowledge of the medical world and the human body. Combining your practical skills with that knowledge, you will graduate as a capable medical practitioner ready to work on their own.

East European University Admission & Entry Requirements

Candidates applying for this university must have at least a B2 level of English proficiency and own a high school leaving certificate. The university doesn’t require entrance exams.

Accommodation

East European University offers accommodation for their students. It is divided into two blocks - male and female. The dorms offer comfortable and safe rooms. To ensure students’ safety, the dorms are constantly monitored. 

The dorms are located a short distance from the campus and offer different common rooms for studying, cleaning and leisure time. Shared rooms and areas are available for all of the residents of the building. The monthly rent for a bed in the dormitory, including usage of the facilities and utilities is around €230.

A 1-bedroom apartment in Tbilisi costs around €200 per month based on the location. Other expenses like food, utilities and leisure time are all up to your standards. However, the average cost of living in Tbilisi is around €500.

Term Dates

The fall semester here begins in early November and lasts until the end of February. The period from the beginning of March until the end of the third week of the month is the examination period.

The spring term starts at the beginning of April and finishes at the end of July, followed by a 3-week exam session.
